The Shroom...

I had to watch some spoken word poetry performances for an assignment, and found this one to be pretty good. I can identify with it, and I enjoy watching the poets conveying their work the way they intended for it to be experienced.

ohai.
the move finished yesterday. only took 4 hours with breaks to move stuff. then came the post-move and epic walmart trip for basics and food. i ended up finishing with everything by 10 last night. i can now unpack at my leisure.

i forgot to include bathtowels and wash rags on my list of good ideas to buy. so i no can has a shower yet. i shall rectify thise by wearing lots of perfume lol. and going to walmart *sigh* AGAIN later.

i am glad to have finished, and i was actually SO tired last night that i went to bed at 11pm lol. that is practically unheard of for me. i woke at 8 and got outta bed at 830. i had the foresight to get a coffee pot so i've had two "two" cups "cups" of coffee. nom nom nom breakfast.

i am going to see a movie today. i deserve to relax for all my hard work. i took amber out to red lobster for dinner last night as a sort of payment for helping me out all day like a great friend. the peach-bourbon-bbq chicken is FANTASTIC!!! order it immediately!

i have left over baked potaties too. i bought some boneless beef "country style" ribs and some marinade, so i have those along with some baby bella mushrooms marinating. later on i'm going to dig out cookware and have that for dinner. nom nom nom. first dinner i my new place. soopar noms.

that's about it for now.

oh yeah, in other news... hoping to start picking up more hours from the arc again, and looking to be hired on as a tutor at the college ^_^

hi folks.
i got the keys to the apartment yesterday ^_^
am totally thrilled. i'm going to buy some basics for the place later today, and then spend the rest of the day/night packing. tomorrow morning we get a moving truck, and i am thinking that with as little as i own, one trip ought to make it just fine ^__^.

it's going to be kind of strange having my own place again. but awesome too.

i decided to forego hooking up cable or internet just yet. i want to wait and make sure the other bills are manageable.
